As vegetarians, We firmly believe in the ethical treatment of our animals, at shearing time and year round.
We raise our animals with the same responsibility we extended to our children, therefore they are vaccinated and medicated as needed.
Our sheep are kept for their fleeces only, no one visits the Abattoir here.

Our flock did darn good this year. Everybody on the farm stayed healthy (besides a few minor colds for us) and as a result, the hand of their wool this year is stellar.
CVM/Romeldale is categorized as a fine fleece with a tight crimp - which means squishy yarn!
We have our fleeces processed and spun at Custom Woolen Mills. It’s not just that we think they make beautiful yarns, we love their efforts to use earth friendly scouring agents and their commitment to preserving the production of woolen yarns in Canada too. Thank you Custom Woolen Mills!
Patches is a carmel coloured Romeldale ewe. She is 7 years old and has a white blaze down her nose. She was a twin and her sisters name is Prism. Patches is an exceptionally good mom and frequently had triplets. Her fleece is typically that of a Romeldale, so soft with a great hand and nice bulk or bounce back. There is a small amount of vegatative matter in the fleece, all biggish and easily popped out as you spin. No chaff. $25.00 for 100.grams
John Arbon Textiles are made in an artisan mill in Devon England by some kinda fantastic people. I really like this mill as it uses as much locally sourced fibre as possible to turn out a great bunch of products. Both spinning and knitting fibres are created here and we intend to eventually have the full line up. We will first focus on the spinning fibres ,however, should you see an already spun fibre that you would like from John Arbon, let me know and I will see what I can do.
